Last year, we had the privilege of collaborating with Leisa Wharington and her daughter, Sophie, to design and establish an identity that resonated with the distinctive and handcrafted essence of Leisa's creations. Our task was to develop a visual language that set it apart from her other venture, The Studio & Co, and conveyed a seamless extension of her unique glassblowing artistry.
With three decades of experience as a glassblower on the Mornington Peninsula, Leisa's legacy inspired us to incorporate elements that paid homage to her family heritage and past establishments. Given that Leisa personally mouth blows each piece, it was essential for the brand identity to authentically mirror her essence, capturing the same 'feel' as her exquisite glass creations. We designed a
bespoke brand icon to accompany her wordmark, incorporated her favourite colours and used typefaces that links back to her family heritage. If you’re lucky enough to know Leisa, we can confidently say that you can feel her spirit coming through her identity.
